Oncology Nursing

An oncology nurse is a specialized nurse who cares for cancer patients. These nurses require advanced instruments and clinical experiences in oncology further than the typical baccalaureate nursing program provides. Oncology nursing care can be defined as meeting the various requirements of oncology cases during the time of their complaint including applicable screenings and other preventative practices, symptom operation, care to retain as much normal functioning as possible, and probative measures upon end of life. An Oncology Nurse works with patients who have, or who are at threat of getting, cancer. Oncology Nurses give necessary assessments, administer treatments and communicate with all patient care providers to help develop a plan acclimatized to each case's requirements.
